From Proton Authenticator

Proton Authenticator exports JSON. Vault2FA reads the unencrypted variant.

Short version: Export JSON without a password, open it.

Steps

  1. Export

    Proton Authenticator → Settings → Export. Choose JSON and don't set a password.

  2. Import

    Vault2FA → + → Import from another app → Choose export file. Notes and Steam entries carry across.

  3. Delete the file

    It holds your secrets in the clear.

Afterwards

Make an encrypted backup (Settings → Backup) before you delete the old app, and check the support page if a code is rejected — it is nearly always the phone's clock.
